Lancashire Police Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 29 of the Police Authority Regulations 2008, has recently agreed a revised Members' Allowance Scheme which shall have effect for the year commencing 1st April 2010 and subsequent years.

Part of the role of the Authority is to gain the views of local people who have been stopped by the police and either asked to account for themselves and/or have been searched. Their views and opinions can then be fed into the monitoring and scrutiny process that the Authority undertakes.
