At the Summer Nights Open Day held at Police HQ in Hutton, Lancashire Police Authority took the opportunity to thank local residents whose interest and involvement in local policing has helped it win a coveted scrutiny award.
Deadline approaches for Independent Member Applications

Lancashire Police Authority’s campaign to recruit Independent Members of the Authority has created a significant amount of interest, with over 250 requests for information to date. The Authority is keen to remind people that the deadline for applications to be received by the Authority is 7th July, 2008 at noon.
Lancashire Police Authority Wins Scrutiny Award

Lancashire Police Authority’s Investors in Policing Campaign won the Centre for Public Scrutiny’s (CfPS) ‘Community Engagement through Scrutiny’ Award, beating stiff competition from shortlisted campaigns from Leeds City Council and Southend on Sea Borough Council.
